Livingston Parish hosting 9/11 ceremony | Events
The “Cry Out America” 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony and Prayer Service will be held in the Livingston Parish Council Chambers in Livingston, at 11:45 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11.
The annual event will be emceed by Clerk of Court Tom Sullivan. Program participants include a number of elected officials and community leaders including Chief Judge Bob Morrison, Representatives Rogers Pope and Valerie Hodges, Parish President Layton Ricks, and Major Jim Brown. There will also be music.
The public, businesses, government agencies, schools and churches are encouraged to take an hour off to come together as a parish on this historic day. On Sept. 11, 2001, Americans will gather at noon in courthouses across the nation to honor the many sacrifices made that fateful day and to voice united prayers.
